‘AFFECTIONATE ALEX’

Hi, my name is Alexander Pussy Cat. Somehow, I ended up at a shelter for months with limited prosects of being passed for adoption due to a diagnosis of a Grade 4+ heart murmur and cat flu.

Then along came Happy Tails Animal Rescue Inc., a non-kill organisation who rescued me and put me into their Golden Tails Program.

Sounds special, doesn’t it? Well, it is. This meant I had a second chance of life. I was one of the lucky ones taken in as a forever foster, provided with the comforts of a loving family, medical treatment and emotional stability for the first time in my 18 month life.

I’m really happy, in fact I skip around showing off my markings which look like i’m wearing little black shorts. I have a warm bed and even though I worry that I may have to search for food…it’s always in my bowl. It’s magic. My favorite is a heated throw blanket which I share with my three cat siblings each night whilst we watch TV with my humans. Although not necessary I also enjoy kitty milk and I am starting to gain some weight. Maybe it’s because I feel safe and secure. I know I don’t have much muscle tone due to my condition, but I’m told everyday that I’m a good boy and very handsome.

I feel so special. One of my siblings even gives me nose to nose kisses. It’s just the best to have my own forever family. Without Happy Tails Animal Rescue Inc. my life would have ended in the shelter and boy am I happy to be given a chance to live and be loved. Thank you Happy Tails and all the people who volunteer their time and raise funds to help animals like me.
